Cam'ron is set to unveil a heartfelt freestyle titled "Letter To Dame" on his show Talk With Flee, where he reflects on his bittersweet relationship with Dame Dash. The track is a poignant reminder of their roots in Harlem, rich history, and the financial struggles Dame has faced in recent years.
In a sneak peek posted on Instagram, Cam'ron emotionally expressed, "RIP BOB-A-LOB 'him we won’t forget about!!'." He announced that fans can catch the full freestyle at 5 PM ET on Wednesday.
Reactions on social media have been mixed, with fans commenting on Cam's evident disappointment in his former friend. One user remarked, "He still raw but damn he sounds so disappointed and hurt by how lame dame is acting," while another added, "I’ll be glad when unnecessary beef gets played out. Dips going out sad."
Why Are Cam'ron & Dame Dash Beefing?
The feud between Cam'ron and Dame Dash traces back several years, but it reignited recently after 50 Cent acquired the rights to adapt Paid In Full into a TV series with Cam's collaboration, much to Dame's annoyance. Furthermore, Dame has filed a staggering $300 million defamation lawsuit against Cam.
In a candid moment last month, Cam'ron indicated that their relationship had reached a "point of no return". He described his frustration with how public their issues had become, stating, "This was totally unnecessary... you keep going on the Internet, looking for Internet sympathy... When we had problems, you never heard no problems from me... But he kept going on and on and on."
Cam'ron voiced how deeply personal this rift had become, highlighting, "When he was like, 'Cam ain't confrontational... So and so punched him in his face.' [...] For it to come from Dame, you got some deep hate inside that you've been wanting to spew out... And that's when I said, 'Alright, let's do personal.'"
