Nicki Minaj has been stirring the pot lately, but this time comedian Chelsea Handler added some extra spice during her hosting gig at the Critics Choice Awards. Handler took a playful jab at the rapper while referring to the hit vampire film Sinners.
“Sinners was a massive blockbuster! Although I haven’t been invited into a Black person’s house since, except Nicki Minaj’s, but who wants to go over there?”
This quip comes right on the heels of Minaj’s controversial appearance at a Turning Point USA event, where she shared some head-turning opinions about Donald Trump and other hot-button issues.
Nicki Minaj Deportation Petition
During her speech, Minaj expressed support for Trump and others, stating, "This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them…" This bold stance has fueled further controversy, part of which includes a petition asking for her deportation that has gained over 70,000 signatures.
The petition asserts that, "This is not just a personal grievance—it is a matter of public concern. Nicki Minaj's influential status does not grant her the right to overstep legal and moral boundaries." It continues to advocate for her return to Trinidad, claiming it would ensure safety and justice for those impacted by her actions.
Indeed, the drama surrounding Minaj is far from over, as Handler’s humorous roast seems to be just one of many reactions to the rapper's recent controversies.
