The social media sphere is reeling as one of its most cherished couples, Desmond and Kristy Sarah Scott, face a significant crisis. After 11 years of marriage, Kristy has filed for divorce, citing infidelity, leaving their combined 30 million followers in disbelief.

As reported, Kristy’s divorce filing occurred in Harris County, Texas. She stated that there was no reasonable chance for reconciliation.

Following a day of silence, on Saturday, January 10, Desmond addressed the situation via his Instagram Stories. In a heartfelt message, he apologized to Kristy, their two sons, and their extensive audience. Although he didn't directly mention the term "cheating," his statements implied he was taking responsibility for his actions.

Desmond Scott’s Statement Confirms Infidelity

“I want to begin by apologizing to Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation. I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I’m truly sorry for the hurt it has caused. Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first,” Desmond’s statement read.

He further clarified that he had discussed these “choices” with Kristy prior to the legal action. Despite their impending divorce, Desmond reiterated his commitment to being a dedicated father to their sons, Westin and Vance.

“I remain fully committed to being an active, present, and loving parent to our boys, as I have always been. Kristy and I faced challenges and made sincere efforts to work through them. Toward the end of 2025, I wanted to separate, and I had conversations with Kristy regarding this. During this period, I made choices that I am not proud of. I took responsibility for those actions, I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce,” he explained.

“I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter of our lives. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. I’m grateful for that support and will continue sharing my love for cooking and the things that inspire me. I hope you’ll continue that journey with me.”

The couple’s split is especially shocking due to the “perfect” image they portrayed online. They met as teenagers and grew together into a well-known lifestyle brand, collaborating with companies like Gucci and Pepsi.

Additionally, they co-own Meant To Be Films, a production company that specializes in wedding videography. The future of their joint business ventures is uncertain as the divorce proceeds.

The fan response ranges from heartbreak to disappointment, with many feeling deceived by the couple's curated social media presence. Desmond’s plea for privacy and compassion stands in contrast to Kristy’s quieter approach on her platforms, where she reportedly seeks peace during this transition.
