Don Lemon has taken a bold stand against Nicki Minaj after her explosive homophobic remarks on social media. In a heated exchange that unfolded on X (formerly Twitter), Minaj accused Lemon of distorting the truth about a recent anti-ICE protest in Minneapolis, suggesting he deserves incarceration over his reporting.
Lemon addressed her rant during an interview with TMZ, calling her comments "disgusting" and criticizing her stance. He stated, "I think Nicki Minaj has made it very clear how she feels about African Americans in this country. I don't think she's one of them. Under Trump's rule, she should be deported." He went on to question why fans continue to support her, stating, "Why are you supporting this homophobic, bigoted, ignorant woman?"
In a fierce retort, he told Minaj to "sit the f*ck down," while also bringing up her husband Kenneth Petty’s criminal history. "Nicki Minaj, f*ck off, stop being a homophobic bigot, get a life and some brains," he concluded.
Minaj's Shocking Claims
The drama escalated when Minaj referred to Lemon in a shocking post declaring, "DON ‘C*CK SUCKIN’ LEMON IS DISGUSTING. HOW DARE YOU? I WANT THAT THUG IN JAIL!!!!! HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO ANY OTHER RELIGION. LOCK HIM UP!!!!!"
Adding fuel to the fire, Justice Department agent Harmeet Dhillon also chimed in, warning Lemon about the potential legal consequences of disrupting a house of worship. In response, Lemon clarified that he was merely observing the protest as a journalist and had no ties to the demonstrators.
This confrontation adds another layer to the ongoing tensions surrounding protests in Minneapolis following the tragic police shooting of Renee Good earlier this month.
