Ebro Darden is showing his support for The Kid Mero after Hot 97 confirmed Mero's new role on the station's morning show lineup. Taking to social media on a sunny Monday afternoon, Ebro tweeted, "Shout to @THEKIDMERO…. This is so great!"
The announcement comes after Darden’s previous show, Ebro in the Morning, was canceled last month. In a twist of events, Ebro had previously suggested that his departure was due to his outspoken political beliefs, but fans are quick to point out the shared views between him and Mero.
“You said you got fired because of your political views, but Mero is even more political than you and more progressive than you,” remarked one fan, questioning Ebro's narrative.
Despite the mixed reactions, Darden has shifted his focus, continuing to engage audiences with The Ebro, Laura, and Rosenberg Show on YouTube.
