Amazon has unveiled additional cast members for its live-action Tomb Raider series.
Joining previously announced stars Sophie Turner, Jason Isaacs, Sigourney Weaver, and Martin Bobb-Semple is the illustrious Celia Imrie, famed for her role in last year's Celebrity Traitors.
The new cast also includes Jack Bannon, John Heffernan, Bill Paterson, and August Wittgenstein.
Character Roles Confirmed
Turner will portray the iconic Lara Croft, while the following actors are set for established roles from the video games:
Martin Bobb-Semple as Zip, Lara’s longtime tech support.
Jason Isaacs as Atlas DeMornay, Lara's uncle.
Bill Paterson as Winston, the dedicated butler of the Croft family.
Additionally, several characters are making their debuts in the Tomb Raider franchise:
Jack Bannon as Gerry, Lara's personal pilot.
John Heffernan as David, a beleaguered government official.
Celia Imrie as Francine, Head of Advancement at the British Museum.
Paterson Joseph as Thomas Warner, a senior official dealing with crises.
Sasha Luss as Sasha, a competitive new adversary.
Juliette Motamed as Georgia, a museum curator devoted to preserving history.
Sigourney Weaver as Evelyn Wallis, a woman keen to leverage Lara's skills.
August Wittgenstein as Lukas, a raider with a mysterious connection to Lara.
With this ensemble, there is speculation that Lukas might share a romantic connection with Lara, reminiscent of Daniel Craig’s role in the earlier films.
Tensions between Lara and Uncle Atlas are anticipated, as their dynamic has not always been harmonious in the past.
