In a thrilling update regarding the anticipated God of War TV series on Prime Video, it has been announced that Teresa Palmer will portray Phoebe/Sif, the wife of Thor. This follows the earlier news that Ryan Hurst has been cast as Kratos. Palmer, recognized for her roles in The Family Next Door and The Last Anniversary, also starred in films like Warm Bodies and The Fall Guy.
The series, developed by Ronald D. Moore of Battlestar Galactica fame, has already secured two seasons, with Frederick E.O. Toye directing the initial episodes. As of now, there is no set release date for the show.
Centered around the narrative of Kratos and his son Atreus, the God of War TV series will draw inspiration from the 2018 video game and its sequel, God of War Ragnarok. The casting for Atreus and other characters remains unconfirmed.
As one of Sony's flagship franchises, the God of War universe continues to thrive, although there have been no announcements for new game releases following a recently canceled live-service title.
