A new episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race is on the horizon, featuring an exclusive look at the duel between Mia Starr and Athena Love Dion as they compete against Briar Blush.
After Mandy Mango’s recent elimination, tension fills the Werk Room with contrasting opinions. Mia believes Mandy should have remained in the competition due to her dance skills, whereas Briar contends she didn’t deserve to land in the bottom.
“You know, as graciously as I accepted those critiques. I’m a little surprised if you like what I gave was good, and there’re probably more forgettable people that weren’t in the bottom.”
As Juicy Love Dion revels in her victory, the atmosphere turns sour when Mia presents an apology to Briar.
“I offended her, and then immediately I apologized,” says Mia. “She didn’t accept my apology. I think with you, I don’t know where that boundary is because you play so much.”
Mia highlights Briar's inconsistency, pointing out her continuous teasing of Athena Love Dion, even off-camera, despite pleas for Briar to relent.
Athena enters the conversation, supporting Mia's claim and indicating that Briar routinely crosses boundaries.
“I didn’t want to get into this but Briar has been saying all kinds of nasty things off the clock,” says Athena in a confessional, emphasizing that Briar has manipulated her drag daughter, Juicy Love Dion, asserting that Juicy does not defend her amid the taunting.
“Briar’s in the wrong because she expects other people to respect her boundaries, but she doesn’t respect anybody else’s boundaries in the Werk Room,” she adds.
As tensions rise, Mia admits a preference for Mandy Mango over Briar and eventually tells Briar to keep her distance.
“No love lost, but moving forward, we don’t f*** with each other like that. Listen, little girl, we have a boundary moving forward,” she states.
Briar expresses surprise at being confronted by both Athena and Mia, heightening the conflict.
Juicy confides in Athena, revealing her discomfort in being caught between Briar and her “best friend in the f***g world” [Athena].
Briar, determined to defend Juicy, ignites Athena's outrage.
“There’s no defending Juicy, because no one’s attacking, Juicy,” states Athena. “Now, it’s personal, b***! You just crossed a line that you will never cross again.”
The following week brings a lighter mood as RuPaul arrives to announce the Red-Carpet Mashups Maxi Challenge.
The contestants must collaborate as “besties” to create designs inspired by a blend of two iconic red carpet moments.
The judges will evaluate the best looks, with inspirations ranging from Lil Nas X's 2020 Grammy attire to J. Lo's legendary Versace dress.
