In a fiery episode of his podcast Joe & Jada, hip-hop legend Fat Joe expressed his discontent towards J. Cole, claiming that he can no longer appreciate Cole's music following the rapper's decision to avoid confrontation with Kendrick Lamar back in 2024.
"I don't look at him the same," Joe stated firmly. "He ain't come outside... I don't look at you the same. The f*cking sword is dull. I don't care what he spits. He is undeniably one of the greatest, but that’s irrelevant when you talk all that gangsta sh*t and don't step up when called out."
Drawing a comparison to past rivalries, Joe reminisced about Eminem and Everlast, saying, "Everlast knew he couldn't beat Eminem, but he still came to the yard. He caught stage fright; that’s how I see it with Cole."
In contrast, Jadakiss closely listened and shot back, insisting, "The music should stand on its own. The music is great!"
When Is J. Cole Releasing "The Fall-Off"?
Mark your calendars! J. Cole's much-anticipated album The Fall-Off is set to drop on February 6. The hype has already begun with the release of its first single, "Disc 2 Track 2," suggesting it may be a double album packed with hits!
During their lively discussion, Jada also hinted at the possibility of an additional mixtape from Cole, revealing, “He’s got a project coming titled 'The Fall-Off', and a mixtape where he rhymed over classics. He absolutely killed them. Cole is about to make a huge comeback!"
Adding on, he praised Cole's new vibe, suggesting that how he handled the beef with Kendrick would fade into the background once The Fall-Off drops. "Once you hear his bars, all that personal stuff doesn't matter. He’s ready to show out," Jada concluded enthusiastically.
