Awesome Games Done Quick 2026 has raised $2.44 million (£1.8m) for its latest cause, Prevent Cancer Foundation.
The annual speedrunning fundraiser - part of the Games Done Quick series of events - wrapped up today in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, featuring a thrilling Pokémon Emerald speedrun.
While thousands attended in person, the extraordinary speedrunning feats were broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube.
Standout moments from the event included a Resident Evil 2 Remake run on a Guitar Hero controller, a massive 70-person relay of Super Mario 64, and vibrant presentations of French-styled cosplayers during the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Since its inception in 2010, Games Done Quick has raised over $59.8 million for various charities, including the Malala Fund and Organization for Autism Research. The next event is set to begin on February 5 in Minneapolis, aiming to support Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.
In a similar vein, the Summer Games Done Quick 2025 concluded with a total of $2,436,614 (£1.8m) also benefitting Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.
