Big news for fans of gripping crime stories! On January 5, Starz unleashed an electrifying trailer for the much-anticipated second season of The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast. Prepare to dive back into the compelling world of the Black Mafia Family, as new episodes will stream via the Starz app starting January 16, 2026.
Season two promises to be a riveting six-episode journey that features an exclusive interview with Terry Lee “Southwest Tee” Flenory. As a co-founder of the Black Mafia Family, Flenory lays bare the organization’s rise and the dramatic fallout with his brother, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory.
Adding a twist to the tale, the docuseries is executive-produced by none other than 50 Cent. He’s no stranger to drama himself, especially following a feud that erupted earlier this year with Big Meech, ignited when Meech enlisted 50's rival, Rick Ross, for his welcome home concert.
This caused quite a stir! 50 Cent didn’t hold back on social media, expressing his displeasure towards both Big Meech and his son, Lil Meech, who starred in the now-canceled BMF drama series.
What Led to the Cancellation of BMF?
In a revealing November interview with Deadline, 50 Cent shared insights about the show’s cancellation, clarifying that he wasn't the villain in this story despite popular belief.
“BMF was already slightly declining [in ratings] before the last season started, and they made some creative choices that were, from my perspective, not good choices,” he elaborated. “If the ratings had been strong, the networks would have kept the show alive. So I want it clear: the decision to end the series was not solely mine.”
Mark your calendars! The upcoming season of The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast follows the release of another remarkable docuseries that 50 Cent produced, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. Released on Netflix last month, it climbed the charts swiftly, featuring candid interviews with former members of Diddy’s inner circle and more.
