It’s been a tumultuous time for New York drill rapper Kay Flock, who is fighting to reduce his lengthy sentence. Recently, shocking rumors circulated across social media, claiming that the 22-year-old had been stabbed while incarcerated.
Notably, one of the rumors emanated from X user Fendi, who reported on January 15 that Flock had been the victim of a brutal attack involving 18 stabs during an incident at a New York prison, allegedly involving a sword.
Such alarming reports led to widespread concern about Flock’s well-being. However, his lawyer, Michael T. Ashley, quickly dispelled these rumors. Speaking with Complex's XXL, he reassured fans that Flock is actually faring better than many would assume.
"I am glad to confirm that Mr. Kevin Perez a.k.a. Kay Flock is quite well. We met earlier this week, and I spoke with him moments ago. His spirits remain high and he is resolved to continue to pursue justice in his case. His notice of appeal was recently filed, and various post-conviction remedies are being pursued on his behalf."
What's Next for Kay Flock?
While this news is a relief for his fans, Flock still faces a daunting prison sentence of 30 years, followed by five years of supervision. Found guilty on four serious charges—including racketeering conspiracy, attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon—his future remains uncertain.
These charges are linked to a series of shootings from 2020 to 2021. Although he was not deemed to be the gunman, his significant gang affiliation led the court to impose this harsh sentence.
As his lawyer noted, Flock is currently appealing the decision while seeking a statutory minimum of 10 years or a comprehensive 11-point
