In his own words, Gates declared, "Aye Drek, I challenge you to tell people that we had an Islamic marriage... My children [have] lived with me for the past two years. You didn't file for divorce until I stopped giving you money because you and your family have been stealing from me all along."
He further asserts that he has been a committed father and partner, even "while you were with that n****," and challenges Dreka to be honest about their separation timeline, which he claims dates back to 2020, contrasting her statements in the divorce filing.
