Kodak Black seems to have some unresolved tensions with Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz. The Pompano Beach artist has just released a fiery new track titled "Christmas Eve," and it’s definitely not your typical holiday anthem.
In a bold move, Kodak throws down some pointed bars at around the 40-second mark, portraying Boosie as a grumpy old man who disparages the next generation of artists, including him. Kodak outright calls Boosie "lame," stating he could no longer see him as the "OG" he once looked up to.
But it doesn’t stop there! Kodak suggests that Boosie's disdain might stem from the fact that he missed the chance to sign him. Fans quickly caught on to the subliminal shots during the comments section of YouTube, sparking discussions on social media.
One enthusiastic fan commented, "That Boosie diss hard asf," while another jokingly pointed out, "Boosie caught a stray!" The comments are filled with praise for Kodak's lyrical jabs, showing just how invested the fans are in this ongoing saga.
Do Kodak Black & Boosie Badazz Have Beef?
While some might think Kodak's lyrics spell out a brewing feud, Boosie asserts that the situation is not so clear-cut. In a recent interview with DJ Vlad on Vlad TV, he stated he harbors no true animosity towards Kodak.
Although he's acknowledged Kodak's disses in the past — particularly on the track “Ungrateful” — he doesn’t regard those lines as a diss track, recommending that interpretations can vary widely from what he intended.
Nonetheless, Kodak isn't shying away from making his feelings known. In February 2024, he dropped a track titled "11am in Malibu," where he rapped over Drake's beat and expressed confidence in his position within the rap game. This included questioning Boosie's persona directly: "Who Boosie think he is? Who you n****s think you be?"
