Luthuli Dlamini's Roadside Video Raises Eyebrows Among Fans over His Health

Luthuli Dlamini has once again set social media abuzz after a video of the veteran actor walking along a roadside surfaced online.

The clip, which began circulating on 21 January 2026, shows the Zimbabwean-born actor, best known for his role as Stan Nyathi on Scandal! walking on the side of the road carrying a Shoprite grocery bag and a packet of Lays chips.

Filmed from a passing car, the video captures an interaction between Dlamini and the people behind the camera, who call out to him and offer him a drink.

In response, Dlamini, speaking in his well-known British accent, jokingly declines, saying: “You’re gonna get into trouble, giving an old man alcohol.”

As the car pulls away, voices in the background can be heard saying, “That’s really him,” while the footage lingers on the run-down surroundings, a detail that appeared to heighten concern among viewers.

The scene quickly triggered speculation online, with some fans questioning whether the beloved actor may have fallen on hard times, while others argued that he simply appeared calm and unbothered, living a modest life away from the spotlight.

The video reignited a familiar debate about the financial security of South African actors, particularly industry veterans who once played high-profile roles on television but are now rarely seen on screen.

This is not the first time Dlamini’s wellbeing has become a topic of public discussion. In December 2024, rumours circulated that he was homeless and living in an abandoned building.

The actor later addressed and dismissed those claims, strongly pushing back against what he described as false and damaging reports about his living situation.

Despite those past clarifications, the latest footage has once again left fans divided, torn between concern for a respected actor and frustration over the public scrutiny of what may simply be a private moment.

As the clip continues to circulate, Dlamini has not yet commented on the renewed speculation surrounding his circumstances.
