It’s been just a few months since Max B stepped out of prison after a staggering 16-year incarceration, and he’s already caught up in a whirlwind of rumors. Originally sentenced to a jaw-dropping 75 years for a botched robbery, the rapper's conviction was later vacated. In 2016, he accepted a plea deal for aggravated manslaughter, slashing his sentence down to just 20 years, allowing him an early release.
However, this dramatic turn of events has sparked whispers suggesting he might have snitched to score a lighter sentence. In a remarkable appearance on the Dog In The Yard podcast, Max B decisively set the record straight. He clarified that entering a plea deal doesn’t necessarily equate to turning on co-defendants.
“I know the truth and I’m confident in that, but people will believe what they want,” he expressed, cutting through the noise of speculation.
Did Max B Jump Ja Rule?
This isn’t the first time Max B has had to fend off baseless rumors after his release. Back in November, chatter began that Ja Rule was attacked outside a New York restaurant, with accusations linking Max B and his crew to the incident.
Responding to these claims, Ja Rule took to social media to clarify the situation, commenting on Tasha K’s post about the alleged jumping. “Tasha, why you lying to these good people?” he quipped. “Some b*tch a*s n****s tried to jump me. No, it wasn’t at Sei Less, and I’m chilling, smoking a joint, watching SVP with not a scratch on me…”
Shortly afterward, Max B took to Twitter/X to distance himself from the rumor mill, stating, “Don’t tie me or my people to anything negative. We grown, we on positive vibes only.”
