It's the end of an era. After five years, Animal Crossing: New Horizons' risqué yet popular "adult only" island has been deleted by Nintendo.
The island, created by @churip_ccc, gained a following among streamers and Japanese players, featuring a number of adult-oriented jokes and establishments, including a "free information center" meant to guide players to brothels and strip clubs.
It also had a red-light district and a "love hotel" with copies of Michelangelo's Statue of David strategically decorated. There were adult shops selling schoolgirl-inspired cosplays and toys, vending machines offering "natural herbs", and various casino-like areas.
As for the island's residents, Blathers, the wise owl known for his dislike of bugs, had a room littered with used tissues and adorned with images of Isabelle.
Now, this distinctive Animal Crossing destination is no more, with @churip_ccc announcing the deletion via Dream Islands. Despite the loss, the creator expressed gratitude to Nintendo for its leniency over the years.
The deletion seemingly occurred just before the latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons' 3.0 update, which introduced a new Resort Hotel among other features.
For those curious about @churip_ccc's NSFW island, additional content remains available online.
