In a passionate new YouTube video titled, “Let’s Talk Music,” rock legend Ted Nugent didn't hold back in his criticism of rap icon Eminem. Nugent, a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump, labeled Eminem and another music star, Jack White, as "total idiots," claiming their political views were detrimental to the nation.
Nugent fired back: “Eminem, the guy’s a… Both of those guys, Eminem and Jack White: total idiots. They don’t want their country to have secure borders. They think men should destroy women’s sports.” His comments reflect a deep-seated discontent with the current cultural climate that he perceives as being shaped by figures like Eminem.
Continuing his tirade, Nugent asserted, “When you hate Donald Trump, you want men in women’s sports to destroy women’s rights. That’s what these guys stand for.” He lamented their stance on national security, asserting they support a border policy that is “inviting jihadists” into the country.
This vitriolic exchange follows Eminem’s involvement as an executive producer for the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving Halftime Show, where he brought Jack White onboard for their performance. The controversy seems to have reignited old flames between their differing political beliefs.
Eminem’s Stance On Donald Trump
Eminem's criticisms of Trump began when he first ran for the presidency in 2016. Speaking to Complex the following year, he expressed his bewilderment at Trump’s support, stating, “It’s so bizarre watching him play to his base that thinks that he cares about them.” His disdain for the billionaire's disconnect from average American life has been a recurring theme in his public commentary.
In a demonstration of his political engagement, Eminem took to the stage in 2024 to support Vice President Kamala Harris during her presidential campaign, even introducing former President Barack Obama at a rally in his hometown of Detroit.
