Netflix has confirmed that the fifth and final season of The Witcher will debut on the streaming platform later this year. This announcement comes shortly after Season 4, which premiered at the end of October 2022.
The streaming service had previously indicated a release for The Witcher in 2026 in its 'coming soon' section. The synopsis for the final season hints at a tumultuous conclusion:
"The time of the end is nigh: dark forces are aligning all across the Continent with villainous designs on Ciri. Even if Geralt and Yennefer can save their daughter and fulfill their last wish of reuniting as a family, they’ll have to face obstacles — and enemies — the likes of which they've never faced before."
