In a revealing appearance on Drink Champs, Turk opened up about his dynamic relationship with Cash Money, especially focusing on the much-talked-about Verzuz battle with No Limit at last year’s ComplexCon. Notably, both he and Lil Wayne were mysteriously absent from this epic showdown.
Turk's absence wasn’t simply a coincidence; it was underpinned by his ongoing legal struggles regarding Cash Money's anniversary tour and a history of conflict with figures like Birdman and B.G. During the Verzuz event, the absence of Lil Wayne also raised eyebrows, with conflicting reports from B.G. and Juvenile regarding his reasons for skipping out. Turk commented that had he been present, Wayne would likely have followed suit and joined the scene.
"Had I been there, Wayne would have been there too," Turk expressed. He continues, hinting that while he doesn’t attribute his absence as the sole reason for Wayne’s no-show, the vibe would have transformed had the full Cash Money and Hot Boys crew been in attendance. "They were all over the place; the energy was definitely thrown off," he remarked, reflecting on the missed opportunity for a unified performance.
Turk's Tour Troubles with Cash Money
However, Turk clarified that his statements about the Hot Boys are subjective and not an accusation against anyone's integrity. He reflects on their history, suggesting it often feels like it's all or nothing within their crew.
Simultaneously, Turk's battle against the promoters of Cash Money's 30th anniversary tour continues, with both parties gearing up for a settlement conference to potentially resolve their disputes. Turk alleges that he was unfairly removed to minimize his pay, while the promoters argue that his conflicts with B.G. were jeopardizing the tour.
