The Origins of Their Relationship
So how did it all start? Mbali shared that she initially met Samkelo at DJ Tira's home while picking up gifts for promoting Bearings Cider, but they had already connected through direct messages prior to that meeting. From the outset, she suspected something was off. Dlamini revealed that Samkelo was never truly alone with her and always had cameras filming their every move.
"There were always cameras following us. There was a lot of commotion. Whenever I would address this with him, he would ask me what it is that I think is happening. He refuses to come out and state that we are only making content. Instead, he pretends to love me but he doesn't."
In a recent Instagram post, the couple appeared chummy, but Mbali's revelations suggested that their supposedly romantic moments were merely staged for views.
As the podcast continued, Mbali disclosed shocking details about the nature of their relationship, stating that they never engaged in any intimate activities. Anytime she questioned him about their lack of physical connection, he would deflect the conversation by suggesting that intimacy wasn't important.
"At this point, I don't know what it is. Maybe he loves himself, but he did show me that even the previous girls he shot content with, he never did anything with them. I was hurt when our private conversations were posted. I thought I was talking to my partner. I did not care about all of those things," she lamented.
Mbali further noted that Samkelo often ghosted her for hours, would ridicule her among friends, and ended their relationship multiple times. Even the much-publicized lobola ceremony was merely a photo opportunity, according to her. The financial impact on Samkelo was also revealed, as he had reportedly faced hardships after paying the bride price.
Despite the chaos, Mbali did acknowledge that Samkelo showed her love and support, especially during tough times when the internet was brutal.
"But despite everything, Samkelo loved me, and he supported me even when people spoke badly about me."
