Young Thug Celebrates Legal Victory: Seized Property Return on the Horizon!

It's been over a year since the rapper Young Thug walked out of prison, but his legal battles are far from over. This past August, Fulton County Judge Paige Reese Whitaker made waves by dismissing a civil forfeiture lawsuit that has been hanging over the artist. Thanks to this recent ruling, Young Thug is set to reclaim some of the personal property seized during the YSL RICO case, including an impressive $150K in cash, luxury cars, and expensive jewelry.

Judge Whitaker confidently stated, "I think that the court has no option under the case law and under the statute but to grant this dismissal, so the dismissal is granted." This ruling was met with mixed reactions, especially from Deputy District Attorney Jeff DiSantis, who expressed confusion over the dismissal. He shared, "We are perplexed that Judge Whitaker dismissed the case based on a timeline requested by defense counsel and a date the court set for trial. We are evaluating the case now for possible appeal considering that strange procedural history."

In a twist of fate, just weeks after the ruling, the state of Georgia decided to file an appeal in hopes of reversing the decision. However, Young Thug wasn't about to let that slide. He filed a motion to dismiss the appeal, which was recently granted! According to documents shared by @ThuggerDaily on Twitter/X, the state is now required to return his seized property by 5 p.m. tomorrow (January 9).

Do Young Thug & Gunna Have Beef?

This legal victory comes at a time of intense speculation regarding Young Thug's relationship with fellow artist Gunna. Once close friends and collaborators, their bond appears to have soured following their recent incarceration.

Rumors have circulated that Gunna “snitched” on Young Thug, a claim Gunna has firmly denied. In contrast, Young Thug has acknowledged that their relationship can never return to what it once was. Adding fuel to the fire, last month, 21 Savage took to Twitter/X, urging them to put an end to their feud. "F**k the streets," he tweeted, a sentiment that Young Thug echoed shortly thereafter.
