A$AP Rocky recently unveiled some amusing behind-the-scenes details regarding his collaboration with legendary filmmaker Tim Burton for the cover artwork of his new album, Don't Be Dumb. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rocky revealed that his pursuit of Burton was a long and persistent journey.
Rocky recounted his determination, stating, "I had to basically stalk and harass him for a few years." He explained, "I reached out, asking if we could hang out and vibe over some music. When I finally got to Malibu for some quality time, he listened to an early version of my album and showed keen interest in illustrating the cover!" However, the timeline stretched when Burton got busy with projects like 'Wednesday' and the highly anticipated 'Beetlejuice 2.'
An unexpected highlight of Rocky’s visit was discovering Burton’s artistic process. He spotted a sketch on the table and was amazed to learn that it was a collaborative effort between Burton and his daughter. "It was heartwarming to see their bond—every morning they’d sketch together. I realized then just how special that was," he remarked.
A$AP Rocky's Upcoming World Tour
In addition to revealing the cover art journey, A$AP Rocky dropped an exciting dual music video for his tracks, “WHISKEY” and “BLACK DEMARCO,” featuring Burton himself. The collaboration doesn’t end there; Rocky also launched his Don’t Be Dumb World Tour, where fans can catch him performing across 42 concerts in North America, Europe, and the UK throughout 2026.
