AmaZulu have completed the signing of highly rated midfielder Langelihle Mhlongo from Richards Bay.
This publication understands that Mhlongo finalized all paperwork with Usuthu on Monday, bringing an end to his dispute with Richards Bay.
Mhlongo has not played since leaving Bay at the end of last season and had been without a club in the months that followed. He was strongly linked with AmaZulu after his contract expired, and that move has now finally materialized.
The 24-year-old midfielder — capable of playing both as a No. 8 and a No. 10 — made 65 appearances for the Natal Rich Boyz, scoring one goal.
Because he was unattached during the current season, Mhlongo is eligible to play for AmaZulu immediately, giving the Durban-based side an instant midfield boost.
At Usuthu, Mhlongo will reunite with Keagan Allan, who also left Richards Bay at the end of last season to join AmaZulu.
