This week, the launch of Battlefield 6's Season 2 has been rescheduled to February 17, providing developers with extra time to fine-tune various elements of the game. However, exciting updates are still on the way. Electronic Arts has announced that Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.3.5 will be released on Tuesday, January 20, featuring significant improvements particularly in jet combat.
The new update reduces jet cannon damage against air vehicles by approximately 40%, meaning players will need to land more hits to destroy enemies in the sky. It's important to note that the previously discussed air radar feature will not be included in this update.
Melee combat also sees its share of enhancements, with a focus on responsiveness, consistency, and sprinting behavior during knife and sledgehammer attacks. Players can expect better performance from the Assault Ladder, as well as various improvements to the user interface and display in both Redsec and Multiplayer modes, all contributing to enhanced stability during Battle Royale and Gauntlet matches.
As the first season is extended, developers are adding fresh weekly challenges and introducing a Frostfire bonus path with rewards such as XP boosts, vehicle skins, and player-card customization options. Season pass holders can look forward to receiving weapon packages, career-wide XP boosts, and additional cosmetics as well.
Below are the patch notes for Battlefield 6 Season 1 Update 1.1.3.5, set to go live on January 20 at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET.
