Colombian striker Brayan León has bid farewell to his current club, Independiente Medellín, as he prepares to embark on an exciting new journey with Premier Soccer League giants Mamelodi Sundowns this January transfer window.
The formidable South African team is reportedly keen on bolstering their roster with the talented South American forward as they gear up for the second half of the 2025/26 season. Although an official announcement from the club is expected soon, León is anticipated to meet his new teammates shortly, just in time for their upcoming fixtures.
In a heartfelt message, León reflected on his time with Independiente Medellín, a club that has nurtured his growth since he joined in 2023.
“Many thanks to @dimoficialcom for welcoming me into this amazing institution and supporting my development along the way,”
he shared via social media.
He continued,
“To everyone I met during my time there, I appreciate both the highs and the lows. I wish you all the best.”
In addition to León's signing, Masandawana have also secured winger Monnapule Saleng from Orlando Pirates following his successful six-month loan at Orbit College. Moreover, the Tshwane team will soon welcome back Khulumani Ndamane, who initially began the season with them before being loaned back to TS Galaxy.
