Cardi B was overjoyed as she witnessed the New England Patriots claim victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in their thrilling Wildcard matchup on Sunday night. The delight didn’t end there! Cardi took to social media to share the joyous celebration of her boyfriend Stefon Diggs' monumental win, which propelled the Patriots to the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs.
"That's what I'm talking about! Take them to Tulum," Cardi exclaimed in a lively video post, suggesting a celebratory trip. "They wanna go to Tulum, tonight on Delta! Put them on Delta." The excitement continued on X (formerly Twitter) where Cardi shared a memorable clip from America's Next Top Model, asking her followers, "My Pat nation family, how we feeling tonight?….we did that!!"
Cardi B & Stefon Diggs' Relationship
Since confirming their relationship last year post her split from Offset, Cardi B and Stefon Diggs have become one of the most talked-about couples in sports. Adding to the excitement, they welcomed their first child together in November, marking a new chapter in their lives.
However, the couple's journey hasn’t been all smooth sailing. Currently, Stefon Diggs is facing serious charges, including felony strangulation and a misdemeanor assault charge related to an alleged incident with his former private chef. Despite the accusations, he has firmly denied any wrongdoing.
Cardi voiced her support on X with a now-deleted post, clarifying, "Not once has that woman said anything to me about being touched.. NOT ONCE!!" in defense of Diggs.
Looking ahead, Diggs' arraignment is now set for February 9, due to a request from his legal team hoping to align the date with a potential Patriots Super Bowl appearance. The organization expressed their support for Diggs, emphasizing his denial of the allegations in a statement.
While the controversy unfolds, the Patriots are gearing up to face either the Houston Texans or the Pittsburgh Steelers in their next playoff game. Meanwhile, other Wildcard Weekend victors included the Los Angeles Rams, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, and San Francisco 49ers.
