Jordan van der Westhuizen, son of the late Springboks rugby hero Joost van der Westhuizen, has just hit a significant milestone as he celebrates his 22nd birthday! The special day unfolded on January 11, 2026, and was celebrated with joy and love, courtesy of his mother, singer and actress Amor Vittone.

The birthday bash took place at Captains Island, a delightful restaurant owned by Vittone's partner, Marius van Biljon. This heartwarming gathering drew heartfelt messages from fans and friends across social media, filling the day with love and support for the family.

Jordan van der Westhuizen’s Sporting Journey

Jordan, born on January 16, 2004, has grown up in the shadow of his father's remarkable rugby accomplishments. While his father is revered as a celebrated Springbok scrum-half, Jordan gravitated towards football, setting his sights on making a name for himself in the sport. From the tender age of three, he’s been passionate about football.

His journey took him to Valencia CF's youth academy in Spain for a thrilling six-month training journey, and he even had a trial with Reading FC’s youth academy in the UK. A dedicated fan of the English Premier League side Liverpool FC, Jordan dreams of one day donning their iconic jersey. Inspired by the famed anthem, You’ll Never Walk Alone, Jordan received a special signed jersey and heartfelt letter from Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp shortly after his father’s passing.

Earlier this month, Jordan spent quality moments with his mother, soaking in the excitement of the SA20 cricket tournament at Centurion’s Supersport Park. Last year, he honored his father’s legacy by wearing a Bulls jersey emblazoned with “Dad, Joost” and the legendary No. 9 at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.

Amor Vittone Cherishes Family Time

Amor Vittone has been dedicated to crafting beautiful experiences with her children throughout the festive season, creating lasting memories with her 19-year-old daughter Kylie as well. Amidst these family moments, she continues to honor the memory of her late husband while navigating rumors of new love.

Fans have been sending waves of warm birthday wishes to Jordan:

@Helene Burger:

“Happy birthday, Jordan, have a wonderful and blessed day!! 🎉”

@Anna Mare Brand:

“What a beautiful family you are ❤️ Happy birthday, Jordan! God bless you with favour and grace in the years to come. You are such an amazing man. Your mom did a great job raising you, such a gentle soul. 🙏🙌”

@Shirley Sturgiss-Grant:

@Sandra Allnutt:

“Happy Birthday Jordan and many more happy years. 🎉🎊🎂🍰🍾🥂”

The van der Westhuizen family continues to cherish Joost’s incredible legacy, which includes being a key player in South Africa's historic Rugby World Cup victory on home soil in 1995. Tragically, he passed away in 2017 after a courageous battle with motor neurone disease, leaving behind an enduring legacy of passion, skill, and leadership in the world of South African rugby.

Joost's Ex-Wife Sparks Curiosity Over New Look

Recently, Amor Vittone has grabbed headlines for her fresh new look, prompting questions from fans and followers about whether her youthful appearance is attributed to filters or cosmetic enhancements.
