Chelsea star Cole Palmer is facing a race against time to be fit for the match against Crystal Palace.
The Blues might also miss key players such as Tosin Adarabioyo and Romeo Lavia due to thigh injuries, while Enzo Fernandez may be sidelined due to illness.
Chelsea Star Cole Palmer has a "Good Chance" of Returning
Palmer, who is currently ranked as one of the top attacking midfielders, missed the League Cup defeat to Arsenal but returned to score a penalty in the recent 2-0 victory over Brentford. However, his absence in the midweek win against Pafos has raised concerns about his availability for the upcoming Premier League match.
Manager Liam Rosenior mentioned, “It was precautionary to leave Palmer out of the traveling squad. He felt something minor during the Brentford game and managed to play through it. I don’t want to risk any players at this stage... He's got a really good chance to be involved and start the game on Sunday.”
Palmer played a full 90 minutes against Brentford, leaving Chelsea with a decision to make regarding his minutes as they face a packed schedule ahead. Currently sitting eighth in the Champions League, Chelsea aims to secure their spot in the knockout stage while also preparing for the Premier League clash against strugglers West Ham United.
The match against Crystal Palace is scheduled for Sunday at 2:00 PM, marking the return of Premier League action.
