Kaizer Chiefs Secure Second Signing with Striker Flávio Silva
Kaizer Chiefs have made their second signing of the season, announcing the acquisition of striker Flávio Silva.
Silva joins the Chiefs from Indonesian side Persebaya Surabaya for an undisclosed contract.
The 29-year-old, born in Guinea-Bissau and a former Portugal U/19 international, will wear jersey number 77 for Amakhosi.
Silva’s signing follows swiftly on the heels of defender Nkanyiso Shinga, who was unveiled on Tuesday morning.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of Portuguese striker Flávio Silva from Persebaya Surabaya in Indonesia. The Guinea Bissau-born player will wear jersey #77. Welcome to the Family!” read a statement from the club.
Chiefs fans might get their first glimpse of both Silva and Shinga when the club faces Asante Kotoko in the Toyota Cup at Moses Mabhida Stadium on 26 July.
