Diablo 4 Unleashes Leaderboards and Tower Dungeons in New Update

Leaderboards have been a staple of the Diablo series, and they are making a triumphant return in Diablo 4. Today, Blizzard has rolled out a new update across all platforms that reintroduces these competitive features alongside the multi-level dungeons known as The Tower.

According to Blizzard's official site, both The Tower and the leaderboards are currently in beta, promising further enhancements in future seasons. The leaderboards will showcase rankings for each of the seven playable classes: Paladin, Rogue, Druid, Barbarian, Sorcerer, Necromancer, and Spiritborn. Notably, leaderboard rankings will reset every two weeks, allowing all players the opportunity for a fresh start as bugs are ironed out.

The leaderboard rankings are directly correlated with performance in The Tower, where players vie against monsters and bosses. Seasoned players with advanced character builds will likely excel, while newer players will enjoy an advantage through enhanced damage bonuses when destroying numerous pylons within The Tower. This ensures that players of all skill levels can actively participate in this thrilling environment.

The excitement in the Diablo universe continues to build with the upcoming expansion, Lord of Hatred, set to launch on April 28. Fans can also look forward to the prequel novel, Diablo 4: The Lost Horadrim, available for preorder starting April 21.

In the interim, players can anticipate the Diablo 4's 2.5.2 build going live on January 12 across all major platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Full patch notes for the update are available below.
