Durban City Secures Services of Ex-Orlando Pirates Striker Letsie Koapeng
Durban City has officially signed former Orlando Pirates striker Letsie Koapeng, making it his 11th professional club in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
Koapeng recently ended his stint with Orbit College, a newly promoted team, where he played in three matches and netted one goal. His departure from the North West club was announced via social media, followed closely by his signing with Durban City, who earned promotion from the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the conclusion of last season.

The 33-year-old has seen both triumphs and setbacks throughout his career. Notably, he was part of the Bidvest Wits team that was defeated by Pirates in the Carling Knockout during the 2011/12 season and was with Chippa United when they achieved promotion to the PSL in the 2013/14 season.
He also faced disappointment in the MTN8 final with Cape Town City in the 2017/18 season, which marked Benni McCarthy's inaugural season with the team.
Moreover, he has been part of teams that reached the Nedbank Cup finals, finishing as runners-up with both Pirates in the 2015/16 season and Marumo Gallants in 2021/22.
Over his career, Koapeng has participated in 139 matches, contributing 18 goals and five assists despite the often brief tenures at various clubs.
It is yet to be determined whether Koapeng will feature in Durban City's upcoming home game against Siwelele at Chatsworth Stadium scheduled for Tuesday at 19:30.
