Capcom has announced a highly anticipated Resident Evil Showcase event, set for January 15 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. This showcase will unveil brand-new gameplay footage and exciting news for Resident Evil Requiem, the latest installment in the iconic series, which is slated for release on February 27.
Aside from showcasing the new game, the event will also touch on the upcoming Resident Evil movie, directed by Zach Cregger, known for his work on Weapons and Barbarian, which is expected to hit theaters this October.
As 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil, fans are eagerly awaiting any additional celebrations that Capcom might announce in the future.
The showcase isn't the only major gaming date in January; the Xbox Developer Direct is set for January 22, which will offer updates on titles including Fable and Forza Horizon 6.
In Requiem, players will return to Raccoon City, taking on the roles of Grace Ashcroft and the beloved character Leon S. Kennedy. The game will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 upon its release.
