In 2012, SYBO launched the mobile phenomenon Subway Surfers, which quickly became one of the most downloaded mobile titles of all time. Now, fans can look forward to the sequel, Subway Surfers City, set to launch on mobile devices next month.
The announcement came with a cinematic trailer showcasing the vibrant world of Subway Surfers City.
This latest endless runner takes place in Subway City, featuring four unlockable neighborhoods: The Docks, Southline, Sunrise Blvd, and Delorean Park. Each season, players can expect new neighborhoods, characters, outfits, and hoverboards. Additionally, new gameplay mechanics will be introduced, including a unique stomp move and a bubblegum shield to enhance jumps.
Subway Surfers City will also introduce three new game modes:
- Classic Endless: The fast-paced experience fans love, focused on high scores and discovering new paths.
- City Tour: A finite mode with distinct goals, allowing players to explore districts for hidden stars and complete missions.
- Events: A rotating series of challenges designed for even the most skilled players.
"At its core, Subway Surfers City represents the next chapter in a nearly 15-year legacy," stated SYBO CEO Mathias Gredal Nørvig. "Subway Surfers continues to thrive year after year, and we are excited to offer players a fresh way to engage with this beloved IP."
Mark your calendars for February 26, when Subway Surfers City will be released. Interested players can preregister on the game's official site.
