Underrated 'slow life' role-playing game Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has just launched an exciting new year content drop that enhances its gameplay experience.
The update, titled Sinister Broker Bazario's Schemes, is free and available now on all platforms including PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. It introduces a brand-new location called Snoozaland, transforming Fantasy Life i into a roguelike adventure where players face challenges with one life and one attempt in each run.
In Snoozaland, players will commence as a level one character without any equipment, with the game world rearranging itself upon each reattempt. Players will discover new lives, which refer to the game's job/class system, while encountering a variety of alchemy robots that can provide powerful items when supplied with the right materials and equipment.
According to the game's official website, this new mode appears to be a self-contained experience, implying that the character progression during the adventure in Snoozaland is temporary and only lasts for the duration of the run.
Having played Fantasy Life i extensively, I found it to be one of the most captivating titles on the Switch 2. The game seamlessly blends elements of town building, resource harvesting, crafting, and engaging RPG adventure, all wrapped in a vibrant and uplifting aesthetic.
