Tributes have poured in from across the globe after the passing of rugby legend Ian Brice, who left us at the age of 81 following a long illness.
Often hailed as a significant figure in the world of rugby during the 1970s, Brice was a celebrated player for the illustrious Crawshay’s Welsh RFC, eventually taking on the esteemed role of club president.
His legacy with the club extended over an impressive five decades, and the news of his demise has struck a chord within the rugby community, prompting an outpouring of condolences.
Crawshay's Rugby Club shared an official statement on their X account to confirm the unfortunate news.
"It is with enormous sadness that Ian Brice, @CrawshaysRugby Player, Administrator, Trustee, and President died last night after a prolonged illness,"
the statement read.
"He has been part of the club for 50 years, and his enormous presence will be missed by the @CrawshaysRugby Club."
Renowned journalist Peter Jackson also expressed his sorrow, noting Ian Brice's outstanding contributions to Welsh rugby and the prominent position he held. He extended heartfelt condolences to Brice’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
