In the ever-changing landscape of the New York rap scene, tensions often flare. These days, 50 Cent finds himself in a whirlwind of beef with several artists, including Papoose, Diddy, and Jim Jones, making it hard to keep track of who's on his blacklist.
However, amidst the chaos, there’s one artist who stands firmly in 50's corner: Fat Joe. Their relationship hasn’t always been smooth sailing, especially after their infamous feud in the 2000s. Collaborating with Ja Rule was a major no-go for Joe, a lesson he's learned well.
But peace has finally found its way into their connection. In a recent chat with Sherri Shepherd, Fat Joe declared with enthusiasm, "How 'bout, I love 50 Cent." This expression of camaraderie marks a significant chapter in their story.
The bond deepened recently when 50 Cent reached out to Fat Joe's son, Joey, who is on the autism spectrum. While courtside at a Knicks game, 50 asked to FaceTime Joey, showing a side of him that many may not know about. "50 was like, 'Yo, let me speak to Joey!'" Joe recalls, cherishing that unforgettable moment.
As Joe reflected on this experience, it became clear how it helped reshape their relationship into one built on understanding and mutual respect. In their conversation, Sherri noted Fat Joe stands out as someone who has successfully ended one of 50 Cent's many beefs.
Podcast Plans and Current Beef
Intrigued by the dynamic between the two rappers, Sherri quizzed Joe about the possibility of 50 joining his new podcast, Joe and Jada, coming soon to Netflix. Without hesitation, Joe confirmed, "One million percent, 50 Cent is scheduled to come on the podcast!" He emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, "We gotta show the youth that you can come together—even after a nasty beef—and actually be grown men and show each other love."
On the flip side, however, Fat Joe isn't holding back when it comes to his views on Young Buck, a former member of G-Unit. Following a claim that Joe's crew had an altercation with Buck, the latter retaliated with a diss track titled "CAPpucino." Joe's response? "Buy his sh*t, I heard he’s doing baaaad," brushing off the diss with a wave of dismissive humor.
