Forza Horizon 6 is poised to be a highlight of the upcoming Developer Direct livestream from Xbox, and it seems the release date may have leaked prematurely. Reports indicate that the game is set to launch on May 19, with an exclusive Premium Edition allowing early access on May 15.
An image shared by an Xbox-oriented news outlet claims to show an in-game announcement from Forza Horizon 5, providing details about the anticipated release date and available DLC in the Premium Edition. The claims have been corroborated by industry insiders, confirming the May 19 release date is accurate. The Premium Edition is expected to offer early access, VIP membership, special car packs, an exclusive Ferrari, and DLC following the game's launch.
The official unveiling of Forza Horizon 6 took place prior to the Xbox showcase at the Tokyo Game Show last year. This installment will transition the Horizon Festival to Japan and will be available first on PC and Xbox Series X|S, with a PS5 release to come later. The previous installment, Forza Horizon 5, had a successful launch on PS5, selling over 5.1 million copies.
Meanwhile, the situation for Forza Motorsport appears less favorable, as developer Turn 10 Studios recently announced the cessation of new content development for the game. While the servers will continue to operate, no new cars, tracks, features, or regular bug fixes will be introduced.
