A South African man created a stir online with his humorous request, urging US President Donald Trump to capture President Cyril Ramaphosa, just as he did with former Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. This quirky plea, sparked by Trump's recent actions against Maduro, caught the attention of netizens and led to a flurry of reactions.

On January 5, X influencer Fighter Rakgadi shared a video showcasing the man on her @Rakgadi_EM account. Clad in a "Trump save our farmers" T-shirt, he held two signs reading "Trump help us" and "Ramaphosa must fall!" as he stood on a road, expressing his desire for intervention from the American leader.

Man Makes a Bold Plea

In the video, the man passionately asserts that Trump could save South Africa, echoing sentiments he believes were proven in Venezuela.

"We beg you, Mr President. You are the president of the people. Save our lives, save our country, South Africa,"

Maduro's Counter

Just days later, Maduro himself was in a Manhattan courtroom responding to serious allegations of narco-terrorism and weapons possession, which he and his wife, Cilia Flores, denied. He claimed to have been kidnapped, asserting his Decent persona while calling his treatment a violation of his rights.

The Online Debate Heats Up

The man's video divided social media. Some found it funny, while others expressed disappointment. Critiques flowed in, with users like Fighter Rakgadi stating,

"Someone will go to jail because of content. What is this?"

Others pointed out the absurdity behind the signs, suggesting that it resembled orchestrated content.

Supporters Rally

Conversely, supporters of the man's actions felt he was simply voicing what many South Africans are feeling. VoiceMamillion commented,

"This man is doing what most of us are thinking."

Others echoed similar sentiments of frustration toward Ramaphosa's leadership, recognizing the democratic right to voice concerns.

Political Figures Weigh In

Meanwhile, influential politician Nomvula Mokonyane did not hold back either, criticizing the Freedom Front Plus for its approach and questioning its motives regarding regime change. Her remarks added another layer to an already intriguing political discussion.
