Hytale's founder Simon Collins-Laflamme has expressed confidence that over a million players will join the game on its Early Access launch day, scheduled for January 13th.
This announcement, shared through Laflamme's personal Twitter account, accompanied a call for players to download the game's launcher today, aiming to ease development tensions on release day.
The game's revival, after being canceled by Riot Games last year, has garnered significant interest. Following the transition from the creator of League of Legends to Laflamme and his team, a swift announcement of Early Access plans followed, just months later, after nearly a decade of development.
The expected release time is early morning on Tuesday in the Americas and early evening in Europe, suggesting a gradual increase in player activity throughout the week post-launch. However, players won't be able to track real-time data as Hytale will not be available on Steam during its initial Early Access phase.
Hytale is offered at three price points on the official website, starting at a modest $19.99 for the standard version. Laflamme cautioned prospective players about the game's Early Access nature, indicating some potential issues upon release due to its tumultuous history.
