Hytale has officially launched in early access today, just six months after being shelved by Riot Games. Although the game is still a work in progress and has known bugs, developer Hypixel is taking proactive measures to ensure player safety by offering a substantial $25,000 bounty for identifying serious vulnerabilities.
One of the developers posted on X, stating, "Keeping our community and players safe is a top priority for us. We've already paid out bounties and are working on reported issues as they come in." Furthermore, it's noted that some bounties could exceed the $25,000 mark depending on the severity of the issues uncovered.
The complete details for Hytale's bug bounty program are available here. However, players should be aware that only those over the age of 18 will be eligible for payouts, and bug hunters must purchase their own copy of Hytale to participate.
Earlier, the reasons for Hytale's cancellation by Riot Games and its subsequent revival by Hypixel co-founder Simon Collins-Laflamme were discussed. The game has already garnered over 400,000 viewers on Twitch, an impressive feat considering it launched outside of Steam. Console releases are planned, but there is uncertainty regarding a potential Steam launch.
