Two managers under pressure, Thomas Frank and Nuno Espirito Santo, face a vital London derby on Saturday, each seeking a much-needed victory.
While Tottenham is favored against West Ham, who are battling relegation, both sides are feeling the weight of expectation.
Tottenham's disappointing form at home, with only two victories in ten Premier League matches, has raised questions. The potential return of Mohammed Kudus might offer some hope.
Mohammed Kudus Injury Latest Ahead of Tottenham vs West Ham
Kudus has been sidelined since incurring a thigh injury during a 1-1 draw with Sunderland on January 4.
Unfortunately, the Ghana international will not make a return against his former club West Ham, facing a longer recovery period.
"Mohammed Kudus unfortunately has a significant tendon issue in his quad. We expect him back after the March international break," Frank mentioned earlier this month.
Since transferring for £55 million, Kudus has had a mixed season, registering two goals and six assists in 19 league games.
His absence continues to be detrimental to Spurs, who have faced struggles sustaining their form. Along with Kudus, Tottenham is contending with multiple injury issues, including Rodrigo Bentancur, Richarlison, Lucas Bergvall, James Maddison, and Dejan Kulusevski, leaving the team with limited offensive options.
In contrast, West Ham is feeling the void left by Kudus, whose five goals and three assists last season were crucial to their survival.
Despite the setbacks, Tottenham has enhanced its midfield with the acquisition of Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid. Currently positioned 14th in the Premier League, Frank's side is under pressure to elevate their performance. Meanwhile, West Ham is struggling, sitting seven points from safety after a recent loss to Nottingham Forest.
