Helldivers 2 has introduced an interactive twist by engaging players in a process of Managed Democracy, allowing them to vote on which planet to obliterate using a gleaming new superweapon. The targeted planets are not inhabited by any Helldivers; instead, they're occupied by undemocratic factions that stand against Super Earth.
This voting initiative began last week when Super Earth unveiled an upgrade to the Democracy Space Station featuring the Star of Peace weapon. This platform is capable of unleashing a "macro-scale laser" designed for the "mass Freedom dispensation," capable of collapsing an entire planet into a black hole.
Players of Helldivers are encouraged to access the Democracy Space Station voting panel through their Galactic Map, where they can select between three planets: Zagon Prime, Penta, or Valmox, each controlled by the Terminids, Automatons, and Illuminate factions, respectively.
However, there’s a catch: the selected planet must be adjacent to another planet under Super Earth's control. If it isn't, the planet that receives the next highest votes will be the one targeted, and Super Earth will not be responsible for any Helldivers present on the chosen planet at the time of the event.
In related Helldivers 2 news, a new Warbond has launched in the game, themed around stealth and explosions, introducing three new unlockable weapons for players to explore and utilize.
