The summer of 2003 marked a significant transformation at Manchester United, with key figures such as David Beckham and Juan Sebastian Veron leaving the club, while fresh talents like Cristiano Ronaldo, Eric Djemba-Djemba, and Kleberson joined the ranks.
Kleberson, who was part of Brazil's World Cup-winning squad just a year earlier, revealed that nothing prepared him for the intensity of joining United.
He noted the physical presence of his teammates, admitting, "The squad was filled with such strong players."

Reflecting on his initial experiences, Kleberson shared, "The Premier League was a very different style from Brazil. Back home, I had more time on the ball and could find space more easily. My first game at United was an eye-opener in terms of competitiveness and physicality."
"My teammates spent countless hours in the gym; they were much bigger than what I was used to back in Brazil, where we prioritized stamina and skills over physical strength," he continued.
At just 23 and transitioning from a more relaxed environment at Athletico Paranaense, Kleberson felt the need to adapt quickly. He humorously recalled his first impressions of fellow newcomer Djemba-Djemba, saying, "Eric Djemba-Djemba was so strong – I was like, ‘Oh my god!’”
Despite only making 20 Premier League appearances across two years, Kleberson cherishes the moments spent at United.
