Manchester United has parted ways with Ruben Amorim, ending his tenure after just 14 months at Old Trafford.
The 40-year-old manager expressed frustration following a 1-1 draw against Leeds United, which left the club in sixth place, significantly behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.
The club also had a lackluster 1-1 result against Wolves, prompting the decision to dismiss Amorim, with officials believing it would best position the team for a successful finish this season.

Amorim was appointed in November 2024, following a successful spell at Sporting in Portugal. Unfortunately, he struggled with the team’s performance, finishing the last season in 15th position, marking the poorest outcome since the club joined the Premier League.
With Amorim's departure, the focus shifts to finding his successor, and bookmakers are already weighing in on potential candidates.
Former midfielder Darren Fletcher, currently in charge of the under-18s, will lead the team for their upcoming match against Burnley. He is favored to become the permanent manager, with current odds at 4/7, according to BetVictor.
Following him is Enzo Maresca, the former Chelsea manager, at odds of 7/4 after his departure from Chelsea amid internal disputes.
Next in line is Oliver Glasner, available at 3/1, while other names include Michael Carrick and Gareth Southgate, both priced at 8/1. Xavi Hernandez follows at 10/1, with longer odds for a potential return of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at 14/1. Candidates Kieran McKenna and Unai Emery also sit at 16/1.
