If you're eager to explore different maps while completing the Eyes in the Sky quest in Arc Raiders, you're in for a treat. This quest requires you to strategically place LiDAR Scanners across three distinct locations, demanding both skill and a bit of luck. Here’s how to conquer this mission.
For this quest, no extraction is necessary, allowing you to enter with a free loadout for the Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport objectives. However, a zipline is essential to access the Buried City location, so prepare accordingly.
On Dam Battlegrounds: Install a LiDAR Scanner at the Control Tower
Your first objective entails installing a LiDAR Scanner at the Control Tower in the Dam Battlegrounds. This area attracts a lot of players, so expect intense PvP encounters.
Approach the Control Tower from the south where you’ll find stairs leading up. Ascend until you reach the main floor.
Proceed through the outside hallway to find a door that may need breaching. Be cautious, as enemy players may be lurking.
Once inside, take the upward zipline while ensuring to eliminate any turrets above before proceeding, as they pose a significant threat.
If you encounter traps upon reaching the upper level, signaling your friendly intentions may help ease tension with other players, but be ready to defend yourself if necessary.
Continue down the corridor until you find another door leading to the Control Tower roof. Once on the roof, locate the tripod to place your LiDAR Scanner.
On Spaceport: Install a LiDAR Scanner at the Communications Tower
The next Scanner must be placed at the Communications Tower on Spaceport's eastern side. You’re in luck; this area typically has fewer players, making this objective the easiest of the three.
Simply climb the yellow ladder at the Communications Tower until you reach the platform where the next tripod awaits.
On Buried City: Install a LiDAR Scanner on the Galleria Sign
For the final Scanner, you'll need to head to Buried City and place it atop the Galleria sign. A zipline is required for this part, and it’s wise to bring an extra or two in case of placement mishaps.
Approach the Galleria from the south, then climb the structures adjacent to the building. Use the makeshift bridge to access the rooftop and set your zipline appropriately to reach the Galleria sign.
Once you’ve placed the zipline, ride it to the designated platform, but be cautious of potential falls that can occur if the positioning is incorrect. Don't forget to check for weapon cases before leaving.
With the Scanners successfully placed, you can prepare to head home after completing your tasks.
