TS Galaxy Defender Khulumani Ndamane Reflects on Departure from Kaizer Chiefs
Khulumani Ndamane, the young central defender for TS Galaxy and Bafana Bafana, has addressed his exit from Kaizer Chiefs, asserting that he did not 'do anything wrong'. At only 21 years old, Ndamane has quickly become an integral part of the TS Galaxy team, making his debut for the national team last June after a standout season.
Hailing from Sahlumbe in KwaZulu-Natal, Ndamane initially joined Chiefs in 2023, becoming part of their under-19 squad before advancing to the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team. However, due to limited opportunities to break into the senior ranks, he opted to join TS Galaxy, where he has since thrived.
Along with several other players making a similar transition from Chiefs to Galaxy in 2023, including Puso Dithejane and Ntando Nkosi, Ndamane emphasized that his decision was fueled by a desire for more substantial first-team chances.
“I didn’t do anything wrong at Chiefs. My journey is unique, and I wanted to grow as a player.”
Since joining TS Galaxy, Ndamane's performances have not only brought him individual accolades, such as the Man of the Match award during his debut for Bafana Bafana, but have also solidified his status as a key player as the team prepares for upcoming international competitions. He aims to maintain his form as he dreams of representing South Africa in major tournaments.
