Golden Arrows Rising Star and Pirates Coach Earn Prestigious Monthly Awards
Golden Arrows midfielder Siyanda Ndlovu and Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou have been recognized as the winners of the Betway Premiership Monthly Awards for September and October. This marks a significant milestone as it is the first-time accolades for both individuals in the league.
The selections were made by an independent panel of PSL-accredited journalists and broadcasters.
Ouaddou was awarded the Betway Premiership Coach of the Month after steering Orlando Pirates to a perfect record across the two-month span. Under his guidance, the Buccaneers achieved three victories in three matches, propelling themselves up the league standings.
His tactical strategies garnered significant praise, as the Pirates showcased remarkable performance both offensively and defensively, dominating all three encounters without conceding a single goal.
In a parallel achievement, the talented Siyanda Ndlovu of Golden Arrows was honored with both the Betway Premiership Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards due to his outstanding contributions.
The 23-year-old played a pivotal role in Abafana Bes’thende’s impressive outings, netting three goals and providing three assists across five matches during this period.
Ndlovu's breathtaking solo goal against Stellenbosch FC on October 22 in Cape Town secured him the Goal of the Month accolade, triumphing over noteworthy contenders such as Marumo Gallants’ Jaisen Clifford’s goal versus Kaizer Chiefs and Thabang Mathuludi’s last-minute clincher for Polokwane City against Chippa United.
