Kaizer Chiefs Midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu's Goal Sparks Confidence
Siphesihle Ndlovu, the new Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, has expressed that his recent goal against Polokwane City significantly boosted his confidence and earned the trust of his coaches.
The former SuperSport United player came off the bench to score the decisive goal in Chiefs' 1-0 win during their Betway Premiership match.
“It was Polokwane City. Obviously, that alone says a lot about the person that I am and what I bring to the club. I’m very happy that it happened so early because normally I scored goals later in the season,” Ndlovu commented.
He acknowledged the importance of scoring early in the season for both his morale and the confidence of the coaching staff, given that he had just joined the team weeks prior. “It was important for them to believe in me and trust me that I can do the work for them,” he added.
Currently, Chiefs sit in third place with 13 points, boasting five clean sheets in their last five matches.
Ndlovu anticipates a tough challenge against Sekhukhune United, who are currently in second place with an equal points tally. “Obviously, as a club we’ve done our best to really prepare for this upcoming game, which we understand won’t be an easy task,” he noted.
Chiefs are yet to concede a goal this season and will host Sekhukhune at FNB Stadium this Tuesday at 19:30.
