Netease has officially launched a gameplay trailer for its highly anticipated pirate adventure RPG Sea of Remnants, showcasing a range of exciting features, including thrilling ship combat, open world exploration, drinking contests, and Mahjong.
The trailer, which can be found on the official Sea of Remnants YouTube account, garnered over 1.3 million views in less than 12 hours. Spanning nearly six minutes, it offers an in-depth look at the immersive wood-carved puppet world through early in-game footage.
According to the game’s Steam page, players can expect a dynamic weather system, over 300 companions, and a blend of naval combat alongside turn-based party battles. Sea of Remnants will be free-to-play and is set for release in 2026.
Developed by Joker Studio, known for their previous work on unique horror games, Sea of Remnants continues the trend of creative, genre-blending gameplay.
The game first made its appearance during a Sony State of Play last June. For those intrigued by this adventurous journey across the seas, a testing period begins this month, with sign-ups available on the official Steam store page.
In addition to Sea of Remnants, Netease is also venturing into the AAA single-player market with their upcoming title Blood Message, though a release date for that project has yet to be announced.
